This website is operated by Inta Ruka, Riga, Latvia. Buying from it means agreeing to what follows. It is short on purpose.

The work

Prints are gelatin-silver photographs, hand-printed on fibre-based paper and signed by the artist. Editions are limited to the number stated on each product page, and that number is never increased. Each print is unique in the small ways that hand printing makes unavoidable — tone, contrast and border vary slightly from one copy to the next. That is a property of the medium, not a fault.

Books are new copies unless described otherwise, and are signed on request at no additional cost.

Photographs on this site are reproductions. Screens differ, and paper is not a screen.

Price and payment

Prices are in euros and include worldwide shipping. Payment is processed by Stripe; card details are entered on Stripe’s own pages and never reach this website or its host. An order is accepted when payment clears and confirmation is sent.

If an item sells out between your adding it to the basket and paying — possible with editions this small — the payment is refunded in full, immediately, and she will write to you personally.

Copyright

Copyright in every photograph remains with Inta Ruka. Buying a print buys the physical object, not the right to reproduce the image. Reproduction, commercial use, and use in training datasets require written permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia. Nothing here limits the statutory rights of consumers in the European Union.
